MEMORANDUM
CSEA and the Unified Court System (UCS) have reached a Tentative Agreement for an economic extender to the current contract for one year retroactive to April 1, 2026.
CSEA and the UCS will continue to simultaneously bargain for additional years for a successor contract beginning on September 30, 2026. The Team viewed securing the first year of the contract as an effort in the best interest of the members, putting money in their pockets, and a priority while we continue to negotiate and fight for other issues important to our members for a fair contract. The Team took UCS’s offer for an economic extender very seriously and demanded that UCS offer an economic extender to the other UCS unions for their consideration as well.
This Tentative Agreement provides all employees represented in the CSEA UCS Bargaining Unit with 4.5% added to the salary schedule retroactive to April 1, 2026. The one-year Agreement, if ratified, will begin on April 1, 2026, and continue until March 31, 2027. This Agreement extends all rights and benefits contained in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement and provides for the following increases:
- Salary Schedule and Increment;
- Longevity;
- Location Pay;
- Uniform and Equipment Allowances;
- Increases to the employer contribution to the Employee Benefit Fund;
- Senior Officer Series (SOS) Differential;
- Security and Law Enforcement Differential (SLED); and
- Blazer Allowance (Dress Code).
This one-year agreement will be subject to vote by the CSEA UCS Bargaining Unit members next week with instructions for Election Buddy. Only members in good standing are eligible to vote on the contract. An email will be sent next week with instructions and link to cast your ballot. For bargaining unit members that do not have a valid personal email address on file will be sent paper ballots and instructions next week as well.
The CSEA UCS Negotiating Team will commence bargaining with UCS on September 30, 2026, with future scheduled negotiation dates coming soon.
